There will be up to 4 inserts this coming Sunday, 9/30! 

Some areas will get a Pepsico Moments to Save insert. You can check out their website HERE to see what papers local to you will carry this. There will also be 1 Red Plum, 1 SmartSource and the October issue of the P&G insert! It will be a great week to pick up a few extra papers! 

Remember that these previews come from Jasper over at Coupon Previews and they are California inserts. Some coupons are regional, and you may not get them in your local paper. Also, you might get some that are not listed here. Coupon values can vary by region as well.

I hope everyone remembered to get their papers yesterday! 


Locally, the York Daily Record and Baltimore Sun had 4 inserts. There was 1 SmartSource, 1 P&G, 1 Red Plum and 1 Pepsico Moments to Save (MTS). In the YDR, there was also a flyer with Wendy's coupons!

Counting the Inserts 4/15

In today's York Daily Record, there were 3 coupon inserts. 2 SmartSource and 1 Red Plum.

The Baltimore Sun had the same 3 inserts with minor regional differences. There is also a coupon on Roc Anti-Aging products in the Parade magazine.

Since the last coupons on April 1st, there are a few inserts that have expired: 12/04 SS and 1/01 SS from both the Sun and the YDR. The inserts from 10/02 SS and 3/25 Hasbro Playsaver Insert both expire 4/15 for both papers.

If you are writing the last expiration dates on your inserts instead of clipping your inserts, here is the info:

Baltimore Sun SS#1 (code is 114-1, found on the spine)  and York Daily Record SS#1 (code is 101-1) expire on 8/31/12

Baltimore Sun SS#2 (code is 122-1) and York Daily Record SS #2 (code is 102-1) expire on 4/15/2013!

The Red Plum Inserts will expire on 10/15/12 for both papers.

Counting the Inserts 4/1

Today, in the York Daily Record, there were 3 inserts: 1 P&G, 1 SmartSource and 1 Red Plum. There is also a coupon for Stopain in the USA Weekend Magazine. We've seen this be a money maker at the drugstores, so you might want to cut it out and hold onto it. There is also a coupon on the Giant ad: Spend $50, get an additional $0.30/off each gallon of gas! If you are buying groceries there this week, be sure to use this!
The Baltimore Sun had the same 3 inserts.

There are over 200 new coupons today taking in to account the coupon and value differences between the 2 papers. There were more regional coupons that normal in both papers today.

I just got rid of so many expired coupons! I hate to see them go, but I like having more room in my insert box! If you do the "no clip" method, you can use some of the tools I've created to clean out yours too!

How do you store your coupons?

Couponing has come a long way from the days when from my mom had a little booklet type file with pockets labeled "Dairy", "Health and Beauty", "Frozen Foods", etc. There are so many more coupons today in the inserts and there are other ways to get coupons now, like the internet! A small file like that might be good to use for 1 shopping trip, but the question remains, "How do I store all these coupons?"


Lately, it's become popular to use the Binder Method. You get a binder and some baseball card sheets. Then, you clip and sort all your coupons and put them in slots. The pros of this method is that you can carry all your coupons to the store with you, so if you find a clearanced item or an unadvertised sale, you have your coupon with you to score a great deal you weren't expecting! The cons of this method is that your larger coupons have to be folded to fit, so you can't always easily see what coupons you have or when they expire! It can get tedious to cut all the coupons and then go back to pull the expired ones.


Other people use a file box method. You clip your coupons and then file them by department or alphabetically. The pros are that you can carry all the coupons to the store with you. The cons are that if you drop your box, you will have a huge mess on your hands! And there is still the issue with cleaning out the expired ones.


The method I use is the "no clip" method. I get at least 4 inserts every week. Cutting all those coupons makes my hand hurt. So, I don't cut any of them until I need them. Instead, I type this Insert Coupon Spreadsheet to keep track of what is in them and then I only cut out what I need for the store. I write on the front of the insert the paper and the date. Then, I file them in hanging file folders in my file crate by date. The pros of this method is that there isn't any unnecessary cutting, and there are less loose coupons on my desk. The cons are that if I come across a clearance or unadvertised sale, I don't have all my coupons with me. I also keep a small alphabetized file box for those internet coupons or other non-insert coupons I get. 


With the "no clip" method, I also have developed a tool to use, so when an entire insert is expired, I can get rid of it. I never toss a valid coupon! Because you never know when that coupon for a product you don't use will become a money maker. I see this happen all the time with coupons for health products I have never heard of! 


I have made new pages on the site today that have the last expiration date marked for the inserts. HERE is the list of these expiration dates for the York Daily Record. HERE is the list for the Baltimore Sun inserts. You can also write the latest expiration date on the front of the insert!

Counting the Inserts 2/19

Today, in the York Daily Record, there is 1 Red Plum insert. There are also several coupons in the USA Weekend magazine.

The Baltimore Sun has the same insert, with the regional differences. The Parade magazine has 1 coupon in it.

Total, around 50 coupons. Definitely not a huge week, but with the $5.00 Tylenol Precise coupon that you can use to get it FREE at Walgreens and some other coupons, it's still a good week to pick up the paper!
